Brian Labrecque's study of industrial design at Rhode Island School of Design was followed by an internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy, where he researched Italian I.D.

In his fifteen years as an industrial designer, Labrecque oversaw all phases of the development of a wide variety of products that played with our notions of the familiar. His concurrent passions for the sometime opposing art and function fueled an aesthetic that merges the two.

He carried this view with him when he changed careers in 2000 to become a prop and set stylist, and he has relished the field where art is practical and the practical must seduce the eye.
